Devan is a newer face around Leader Heights Animal Hospital. She graduated from YTI in July 2016 with an Associates Degree. She passed her Veterinary Technician boards in November of the same year and has been working in Small Animal Medicine since. During school, she started her veterinary career at a local Emergency and Specialty animal hospital, and had the opportunity to grow her knowledge in many aspects of veterinary medicine working with boarded doctors in areas such as emergency and critical care, specialty surgery, ophthalmology, radiology, and internal medicine. During her career, she has found a deep passion for oncology. Devan also helps teach the future veterinary technicians as an adjunct instructor at YTI. 

Devan grew up in Dover, PA. After marrying her husband in 2020, they started their family and moved from Lancaster back to their hometown. After years working in specialty medicine, she wanted more time with her kids, but still wanted to remain an active Certified Veterinary Technician closer to home. As a Lead Technician at Leader Heights, she is working hard to encourage new ways to provide high quality patient care and client education. 

In her free time, Devan enjoys spending time with her family and watching her two kids grow. She has a Chocolate Lab named Ruger and two orange cats named Mupkin and The Lorax. She also enjoys time with friends, watching Eagles football (Go Birds), spending time outside, visiting breweries, painting, and going to the beaches of North Carolina.
